For the first time since 2011, Fantesca is releasing 450 cases of 100% Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé. Due to the limited production of this release, we have created a phased release beginning with Active Allocation Members gaining access on April 9, 2021.

When a small brush fire started only four miles east of Fantesca on the night of September 27, 2020, little did any of us know the destruction it would cause to our community. The Glass Fire quickly spread and took its toll on revered wineries, resorts, and homes over the course of two weeks. Thankfully, there were no lives lost during the ordeal, but the life work of many was taken away far too soon.
Despite the smoke, char, ash, and debris caused by the Glass Fire that burned its way through anything that resembled forests surrounding Fantesca—consuming harvest equipment and our iconic tasting desk overlooking picturesque Spring Mountain views—we are counting our blessings. While we emerged with scars, our spirit remains unbroken.
We are fortunate the quality of Fantesca's estate fruit was unscathed and were able to work with world-class winemaker Heidi Barrett to craft an extraordinary 100% Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé. As our first rosé release since 2011, we dedicate this special release to the brave men and women who helped to protect our Napa Valley and Sonoma communities.

Our 2020 Rose was made from our Cabernet Sauvignon off our terraced vineyards on Spring Mountain. It's a gorgeous cherry blossom pink color with clean fresh aromas of strawberries, rose petals and spring. This is a bold rose across the palate with pure fruit flavors, bright acidity and a luxurious mouthfeel. Flavors persist, enticing one to have another sip. I'm particularly proud of this wine made in such a difficult year.
